Jack's first day of Pre-School!

Jack had orientation with mama on Tuesday, and then on Thursday it was his first full day of pre-school! Jack was so excited, he could not WAIT to go. Everyday he wakes up and wonders if he is going to school today! :) These are from orientation day with mama.
My handsome boy. He has gotten so tall! He was tied with another boy for the tallest in the class at 42.5 inches! Wow. We make some tall boys, don't we?
Come on! mama!
I got so emotional on Thursday when I dropped him off. I didn't think I would! He is just getting so big.
Lets play some playdoh!
Mrs. Wesdorf is his teacher, and she read a book to the whole class. He was riveted! After that, we separated from them and they went and had donuts, while the director of the school talked to us parents. He goes every Tuesday and Thursday for 2.25 hours.

First day of 1st grade!

September 7th was Sam's first day of first grade!! He was VERY excited to go and get to know his new teacher, Mrs. Michaelson and all of his new friends!
Man, where does the time go? Look at how grown up he is!
All ready with his new backpack! And orange (his fave color) on his shirt for good luck! First week went very smooth, and so far he says his favorite part is LUNCH! :)
But, on the other hand, he talked for 15 minutes yesterday about how they are learning all about caterpillars and how they turn into butterflies. He was so excited! I hope it stays that way.

The Great MN Get Together! The FAIR!

We all went to the Minnesota State Fair last Sunday. I am doing really well so far with this pregnancy, so as long as we took it easy, there was no way we were going to miss this day! The boys were really looking forward to it. We decided to battle the crowds, and off we went to the bus to take is down there!
I started with this picture because Joe, Sam and the guy in the background all have the exact same look on their faces!! HAHAHA! I was laughing hard when I saw this pic! Too funny. Did something stink?!
After we ate some great fair food, we went onto the midway where the kids could play games and ride the rides. First, Sam had his fastball clocked, and it was an amazing 24 mph! Or whatever the measurement is! :) He did an excellent job!
Then, Jack went and he did great too! I cannot remember the speed, but it was right up there!
They both got some blow up bats for doing so well!
Then we tried the roll the ball into the colored glass. No luck here, but they loved doing it!
Then, we tried the ball in the milk bucket. Hey, are the balls bigger than the openings? mmm.mmm.
Jacks turn!
I love this picture (not of me) but of the girl really trying to give Jack the lecture on how to push the buttons to get the thingys down. YOU CAN DO IT JACK! Too cute.
The boys got to throw the balls into the gophers mouths. The guy really helped us out on this one. Here is Jack's turn.
Then, Sams. They both got little puppies for this one.
Then, we got some more food. Jack was really enjoying his corndog.
I mean, really enjoying it!! :)
He looks like he is up to NO good!
Rock on that corn dog Jack, says Sam!! I love this picture of my boys.
If anyone knows Joe, he really does not like the rides or anything having to do with roller coasters or anything like that. Now, me..I love them! But, being pregnant, I cant go on any rides, so daddy went on the tilt a whirl with the boys. I do not think I have ever laughed so hard in all my life. Here is the beginning before the ride even starts. Look at his face! The boys are so excited!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! I got this picture in mid-whirl and look at HIS FACE!! I think I had fallen down at this point I was laughing so hard.
The boys loved it!
See! HAHA! Thanks for taking one for the team, daddy! :-)
Sam was giving me the ROCK ON sign the whole day. *sigh*.
We went and saw the animals before we left, and the boys loved seeing all the baby cows, and lambs, and chickens, and pigs!
Isn't this a great pic? They both got to pet the baby cow.
All in all we had a fabulous day, and the boys are still talking about it! Now, we are onto Fall and everyone heading to school!

SKOL VIKES!

Recently we went to the MN Fair here in St. Paul, and we got to take some pictures with some famous Minnesota Vikings Players! :-)
First there was Jared Allen....
then some Brett Favre...
And finally some Adrian Peterson!
It was so great to meet them! The boys were awe struck! :)
