Unlucky Jack Jack

If anyone knows Jack Jack, you know that he is pretty much very mild mannered, isnt really loud, does everything he is asked too, is a wonderful eater, isnt as loud as his brother, and is an all around good kid. So, its strange that in the last month, we have had to visit the doctor 2 times for injuries! As you saw in previous posts, he hit his head and had a huge bump between the eyes, causing 2 black eyes for awhile.
Tonite, we were in Kohl's picking up some stuff, and he was in the cart. Sam was either going to push him, or was going to back up or something, and the cart tipped over and Jack went down face first. He started screaming, and I was thinking he had hit his head, so I was holding him closely. I look down and I see blood everywhere. It was coming from his fingers! All I could see was fingernails hanging, so I ran to the car with a screaming kid, Sam is running behind me carrying my purse, and hes crying, and blood is flying everywhere. Luckily, urgent care is a block down, and we ran in there. One x-ray later, the tips of his fingers are crushed. He lost the fingernail on his second finger and the third finger, its hanging and its cut up pretty bad. What happened is that his fingers got caught between the bar and the floor. The doctor says that it will heal nicely and his fingernails will grow back. The poor kid. I feel so bad, he does NOT ask for these injuries! Here is a picture of it tonite, he doesnt know what to do with it. Poor Jack Jack.

Here he is eating supper. He is ok.

Happy Birthday Jack Maxwell!

2 years ago today our beautiful baby boy Jack Maxwell Limuti was born. After pushing for an hour, (and him not wanting to come into the world that way!) a C-section was performed and at 11:45 AM my handsome boy, weighing 8 pds even and 20.5 inches long, was born. He has given us nothing but joy and pride since then. We cant imagine life without him. Happy Birthday, Jack Maxwell.

Samuel HAD to get in the picture, you know! :)

Fire at the Limuti house!

Well, there was a fire at our house last night. The boys and I were just sitting there hanging out downstairs when all of a sudden, there was a smell in the air. Figured out it was coming from the wash room, and I was met with the sight of flames leaping through the air. Got the boys out, called 911 and there was quite a production. Thankfully, there is no fire damage, but the house is infested with smoke damage. So, we are living in a hotel for the meantime. Will know more after meeting with the insurance guys, but thankfully we are all ok! Here are pictures of the machine that did us in!

Update on Jack Jack

This is what Jack Jack looked like 1 week after the accident! Pictures don't do him justice, but his face was a variety of colors! He still gets stares wherever we go, but we just say he has a boo-boo! Then we get lots of stories from other people about their kids and the accidents they had. This one will definitely go in the baby book!

Thanksgiving

So, we went home to Iowa for Thanksgiving and had a nice meal and some time with the family. Here are a few pictures. Here are all 3 kids. Do they look alike??
Isn't she beautiful?? She is so strong and happy!

Aunt Raena.
Best friends Aunt Rhyan and Aunt Teresa.
Uncle Hoppe!
I didn't get a good picture of nana! They were all blurry. We will get her at Christmas! :0)

Santa?

*This is copied from the Enke blog* Cami wrote it well, so why write it again?? I did get the picture in here, but you might have to squint, but we got it!
Regan and I took the boys to Dynasty Buffet (THE best Chinese restaurant in the upper Midwest) and the boys were acting particularly squirrely after eating their main dishes. I gave a stern look to my Hayden and said "you better watch out.. Christmas is coming and Santa might be watching" So, just as I say that, and I see the fear of God in Sam & Hayden - I look up to see a man standing at the buffet stand, dishing up some lo mein and cream cheese won tons - when I notice not only his impeccable taste in food, but his red shirt, large jolly belly and a long white beard. NO LIE!! I burst out laughing and took the opportunity to tell the boys... "hey! for all you know, Santa is HERE RIGHT NOW!!!!!" I looked over Regan's shoulder and motioned her to look, to which she also gasped at such a sight. We became believers in our own threat. I did manage to take a picture (OF COURSE I DID!!!!) but I was being all sneaky and trying to pretend to take Hayden's picture as "Santa" sat down to eat. The picture didn't turn out very well and it's on Regan's camera - so it won't be on the blog yet. But it's there and so was HE!!! :)

You should have seen the look on their faces! Oh, it was priceless! They kept looking at me and Cami like, "Did you really ask Santa to come here??" We laughed forever!

Poor Jack Jack!

Oof! What a day. Jack did not have a good day yesterday! He tripped and fell going down the stairs, and hit his head HARD! As you can see in the picture, it looks really bad, but the good news is that the Dr. said that he is perfectly fine, and he was his usual smiley self two minutes after it happened. You say to him "Jack, do you have a boo-boo?" and he immediately points to it. He is fine, we just feel so BAD! Poor kid!

Limuti family

Here is a recent family picture! Isn't it great? Cami and her family had the best birthday dinner anyone could ask for last night for me, and she took this picture. It isn't the best, but it will do. Things are going ok here at the Limuti house, we just had a fab time with my aunt and uncle, along with my grandma. We had a nice time.

The boys are doing great, Sam is loving school and all is right. Jack is definitely trying to talk more than ever and its really funny hearing him try to say all the neat words. Everyone seems to have the sniffles, but nothing serious.

Hope everyone is good. Leave some comments if you want!

Update at the Limuti House

Hello everyone! I thought I would take a quick moment to tell everyone how we are doing. I don't have any pictures to show anyone, as we are using a friend's computer. Our computer has a nasty virus, and we are waiting to get it fixed. My friend was very generous on letting us borrow her laptop, just so I can check email everyday. So, until that is fixed, no pictures.

Halloween was a lot of fun! Sam was a NASCAR driver, (the m&m guy) and Jack was one of the 101 Dalmatian dogs, maybe #57? :0) We went to our friend's the Enke's where we had an awesome supper, and then we went around their neighborhood and got some great candy! It was so nice out, we barely needed coats, usually you are freezing! I think even one year when I was a kid, I went trick or treating in a blizzard! So, that was a nice change, not being cold. This was Jack's first year, and he was so excited! He wasn't really sure what we were doing, but he certainly figured it out after the first house! He would run up to the house, make sure they gave him the candy in his hand, inspect it, and then once he was satisfied, he would then drop it in his bag! Then he would turn around and run yelling "daddy" running to show him what he got. It was so cute. He absolutely loved it. He didn't want to quit. Sam also of course, loves Halloween, but this year was not as fun. He was really into it at first, but as we got going, he just didn't feel well. He was running a fever, and wanted to go home. Which brings me to the next point....

Sam has been running a fever since Friday, with it running anywhere from 100-103. So, when he woke up with it again yesterday morning, I decided to take him in. I was thinking it was ear infection, since that is usually what it is. So, I was surprised when the Dr said his ears were clear. Turns out, he has tonsillitis, his throat and tonsils are inflamed. He said its all viral with the fever can run up to 10 days! Wow. So, I have him on Motrin and Tylenol. That's all we can do, but the poor kid cant go to school today, so he is really bummed out. You cant go to school unless you have been fever free for 24 hours. Still has one. I hope this goes away soon! Jack has a cold, with a bad cough, but its OK.

My beautiful niece Parker is getting bigger by the minute! I wish I could post pics of her, but I will once I am able. I cannot wait to see her on Thanksgiving! This is what I hate about not living close to them, we cant see each other very often, but I think someday we will.

Sam has Fall Parent days this Wednesday, which means that I get to go and spend the whole day with Sam at school to learn about what he has been doing, and how he is progressing, so I am looking forward to that. I will let everyone know how that goes!

We get the dreaded flu shots this week also, even though Joe and I have had the stomach flu this year, hopefully we can avoid any other strains for a long time! Do not want a repeat of that!

I hope everyone is having a great fall, keep us updated on how you are doing!

McDonalds Ice Cream

Here is a video of the boys eating ice cream at McDonalds the other day. They are with Eli and Hayden, of course. Again, speakers beware! Sam likes to say hi to Nana and Grandma. :0)

Testing Video

So, I finally figured out my camera has the capability of recording. At first, I thought that it only recorded for a limited amount of time, so I never did anything with it. Well, lo and behold it does record for a good amount! Anyway, here is Jack Jack hugging his bear, but I have to warn you that it is VERY dark, (I thought it was light enough, lesson learned! You wont see anything until about 50 seconds in.) and my voice is very loud so adjust your speakers. This is only a test, so next time will be much better!

Birthday party

Saturday we went to a birthday party thrown by my friend Chelsi, for her 2 boys Joey, who will turn 6, and Logan who is 3. There were some activities, and this was one of them. I didn't get a lot of pictures, so just these 3. This activity was them being archaeologists, digging for treasure, so they chipped away at the sand and found lots of dinosaurs. Hence, the hats and the glasses.

Sam was a little frustrated at it, but he kept digging. Then, we had pizza and cake and ice cream. Lots of fun was had!

The most beautiful girl in the world.

I have been a terrible aunt again! I have not updated on Parker. She is doing so well! Rhyan was afraid that she would not take well to going to daycare, but I am happy to report that she is doing just fine! Here are some pictures that I got recently. Isnt she the most adorable girl EVER?! In some pictures she looks just like her daddy, and then in the next she is definitely all Rhyan. So, a good combo of the 2. This is my opinion of course! It seems like she is getting bigger every day, just the other day I got a pic on my cell phone, and she was even bigger! So, here we go...

We love you Princess Parker!

Minnesota Zoo

Well, today we went to the Minnesota Zoo. Too bad I cant prove it because this terrible forgetful mother forgot that usually when I DO need the camera, the batteries go dead. Yep. The batteries went dead as soon as I went to take the first picture. So, you will just have to take my word for it that we actually went! :0)
We walked through the ENTIRE zoo. It says its about 3 miles, but it really does feel like 100. But, that's OK, the look on the kids faces when we saw some of the animals, it makes it all worth it. We started with some birds and some turtles, flamingos and some monkeys. Then, we saw some fish. I believe that this was Jack's favorite, he got the most excited when we got to that. He starts talking and pointing and smiling and cant take his eyes off of them. We got to play on the playground for awhile, the kids loved that, there a lot of kids there! Then, we saw the farm area where there are goats and sheep. The come right up to you and you can pet them, and both of the boys got a little scared but they eventually reached out to pet them, and thought it was neat! We saw the chickens and the eggs, and we actually saw that an egg had hatched and the chick was getting used to his surroundings. Sam really liked that. We saw Camels and Buffalo and the Tigers. One of the best parts I thought, were the leopards. They are really breathtaking up close. Jack actually cried when we left those, he really liked the "big kitty". Then, the best in Sam's opinion is when we got to the bears. At first we just watched them play for awhile, and then you go down a little underground, and they have this heated pool that they swim in. This one bear put on quite the show for the kids, and he swam and pushed and preened for everyone. Both kids got a kick out of that. We finally got to see the MONKEYS! We sat there for a good 10-15 minutes and watched them jump around and play. One little one kept running up the tree and taking a flying leap into their wade pool. That was really entertaining. Then, we saw the sharks and dolphins! The boys loved seeing them underwater like that. I know there are a million more animals that we saw, but those are the highlights. We finally got some food and then some ice cream, and home we went. The boys loved the outing! They were really good kids today, and it was fun to go too. We will definitely be going back real soon. We might even go and get a family pass for the whole year. Definitely worth it. It was also a great way to spend our anniversary weekend. 5 years ago the 20th, Joe and I were married. Has it ONLY been 5 years?? Wow. :)

Samuel's first day of school!

Yay! The first day of school finally arrived. Since we have gone through this before, he acted like he was an old hat at it, but he really was very excited. He got a new batman backpack this year, him and his best bud Hayden got the same ones. Joe was home, so we all were outside really early waiting on the bus. We even had people walking by, telling Sam good luck on the first day of school! It was cute.

Look at me, ma!
Jack was so jealous! He wanted a backpack too.
Oh, he is so handsome. Where has the time gone?!?
Jack just wanted to be in the pictures too!
Mom and Sam.

Daddy and boys.

Jack was so cute, after we were done taking pictures here, he went back over and sat down. He looks at me, like hey! take my picture! Smiling the whole time.

Mom, I am going to ride my bike to school instead!

Waiting on the bus.

So, the bus finally came. Sam immediately got real quiet, and didn't talk. He just got on the bus and stared at us the whole time, looking like he was going to cry, but he was so brave! It helped that we had Tom again as the bus driver, he drove Sam home last year. Our little boy is getting so big, and handsome!

Art by Samuel

So, Sam's favorite thing to do is get into my purse and take out my camera and start taking pictures. I should have thought to do this before, but I will make this a usual thing to do to publish some photos courtesy of Samuel. Here are the latest....

I love how Eli got into it.
I could NOT believe that sam took this picture!
Hayden having jello.
Most pictures are from this view, of Sam on top of the counter after he has taken the camera from my purse. (which sits on top of the refrigerator, to keep him out!)
Jack playing with Dad's watch.

Orientation day

Today was orientation day at Sam's school. Mama and Daddy got to go with him so he could see his classroom, look at all the different activities that he will be able to do, and meet all his new teachers. He has 3 teachers. Mrs. Christensen, Mrs. Klein, and Mrs. Taylor. Also, his speech teacher, Mrs. Hartmann. He was a little shy at first, but he got over that real quick! We started out taking some pictures at home first...
Look at me!
Sam was smiling for the picture, and Jack got in there at the last second. Isn't it cute?
He was so excited!
He got new shoes yesterday and was demonstrating that he can run faster!
Here he is in the classroom. He can name all the colors.

Hi everybody! I am a big kid now!

I will have more pictures Wednesday, which is his official first day of school.
