Twins!

Last week we were very fortunate to go to the Twins game at the Metrodome. We played the Detroit Tigers and we won! I apologize for the fuzziness of some of the pictures, the camera was on a weird setting for such close up pictures. The boys were so excited! Sam was just beside himself with happiness, wanting to know who was batting at all times, what the strikes vs. balls were, etc. Him and daddy watch at home all the time, so he knew alot of the names.
Sam cant believe he is actually there!
Being silly for the camera as usual.
So, this is Jack around the 2nd inning. All happy and excited, he got popcorn and pop! (a rare treat!). About 10 mins later he climbs over the seat, into my lap and promptly fell asleep!
This is my child that NEVER naps! Well, at least rarely. But, he managed to fall asleep in the metrodome with thousands of people! LOL! He woke up as soon as we were up top leaving. Too funny.
Here is the picture to tell you just how close our seats were. It was so awesome. A great time, and hopefully we will be able to go again! Next stop, Vikings!

Open Wide!

So, this week we went for our 6 month dental checkup. This was Sam's 3rd time, and Jack's 1st time to the dentist! Jack was understandably nervous, and really didn't want anyone to look in his mouth. He really doesn't let me help him brush his teeth. So, I was wondering how this would go. Sam was first, so Jack could see how easy it was to do. Sam has always had good experiences at the dentist, so it was great for him. The result for Sam was that he was not brushing as often as needed, but we have changed that with having the habit of brushing before school every morning. His 2 bottom teeth are slightly loose, so they could be coming out sooner than expected! Which she said was normal. Sam had great x-rays with his 6 year molars ready and waiting to come in! She said he has excellent teeth, spaced evenly and perfectly! (He gets this from his daddy!). Here he is with his pink mouth!
Then, it was Jack's turn! The Dental assistant was very calm and told Jack everything she was going to do, first when she was doing Sam, and then when he sat down. I had to hold his feet while he was laid down, it made him feel better. He was such a trooper! She cleaned his teeth, at first he let her, and then he started getting anxious, but he let her finish! Then, she did the scraping thing, (they call it counting teeth), and let her do it, but, she didnt go fast enough for him, but he let her finish. He got a treat. He wasnt too happy about laying down again for the Dr. but, he did, and the dr. said he did great. We definitely have to get better brushing his teeth, he isnt ready for regular toothpaste, but we do the practice stuff. Here are pics of him:
Starting out...
He didnt mind the water so much since it got rid of the chunky stuff!
Look at those beautiful white teeth! He was a little irritated when we were done, so he wouldnt let me take anymore pics of him! I was lucky to get this one. :-)
And here are Sam's bright white teeth!
I wanted both of them...but Sam smiled for me!
I got one in the elevator when we were leaving, with our bag full of goodies (toothpaste, and tooth brushes, and floss!). Good job boys!

Sam's first day of school!

September 8th was Sam's first day of Kindergarten. He was SO excited to go and meet all of his new friends and see his teacher, Mrs. Lapadat. We all got ready to go and to see him off on his first day of school. Here he is ready to go, lets go! :0)

Smile this time! New backpack and everything!
Great picture telling everyone what his school name is!
In front of the school.
Have to see the backpack! :0)
Mom and son. I was just bursting, I was so happy for him.
In line with his class ready to go!
There is Mrs. Lapadat in the corner there.
And yes, he was the tallest!
And away he goes. This is when I started tearing up. We pulled away and I started bawling! I didn't think I would, but all you can think about is that you just had him! Where have the 5 years gone?! He loves school, and he talks about it all the time! His best buds are Sam B., Jack, and Ben! :-)

MN State Fair!

State Fair time here in MN! Cami and I originally were going to take the big kids, but at the last minute decided to take the little ones also. Hoping and praying that they would be good and stay in their strollers! Turns out, we had nothing to worry about, all the kids were great! We had a great day! The weather was awesome, and everyone was in a good mood. It made for a great day for the mamas! :0)

Here we are on the city bus. They do pickup and drop offs all day at the mall right by our home, so we didn't have to battle traffic and walk everywhere. Here is me and Jack, excited to go!
Best buds Sam and Hayden all smiles!
Mama Cami and Elijah. This day was Eli's birthday!! He is 3 years old now. What a big boy!
One of the first places we hit was the baseball pitch. I think I have a major league pitcher on my hands, huh? What an arm!
They big ones decided to push the little ones....
for a total of about 45 seconds! :-) But, it sure was nice!
We are some cool looking mamas!
The family guy board with all of our kids! You can barely see Sam, and Jack is looking down, but Hayden and Eli look great!
We were really trying to get the crowd here, there were a LOT of people. Largest state fair in the Midwest after Texas!
If only Sam wasn't pouting, this is a great picture!
We got these little fans and the boys LOVED them. Could not stop playing with them all day. I think we only left with 1 working one though!
The end of the day, and we are waiting for the bus. Even though we are all tired and exhausted, we got one last smile in!
As you can see, Hayden is exhausted! No smiles from either! :0)
I got one from Jack though! He was being silly. It was an awesome day. I am sure next August/Sept. we will do it again!
